Freneuse, the smallest of the municipalities of the elbeuvienne agglomeration, is a village bordered to the north by a hillside that becomes cliff, and to the south by the Seine and flood plains. The hillside is exposed in the middle of the afternoon, at its feet the fresh winds never blow, and the winter temperature is milder by a few degrees on this slope. Thanks to this microclimate, Freneuse wines enjoyed a great reputation until the end of the th century. The ridge of the hillside is for tourists a surprise and a delight with its very wide panorama on the Seine River, the cliffs of Orival and the Forêts and Bord forests. Many painters and artists were not mistaken and made Freneuse their Point of collapse. To see also, the church dedicated to Notre-Dame (th century) and the four trails "discovery" (route des Petites Meadows, golf course, Heritage golf course and route de la Plage) which allow to take the tour of Freneuse.
