The Bout-du-Quai is one of the oldest districts of Dieppe, where one can detect the traces of an important heritage.
One of the oldest districts of Dieppe. If today the development of tourism has made it a little less authentic, you can still detect traces of an important heritage. The rue des Cordiers, the rue des Veulets or the place du Moulin-à-Vent have a large number of half-timbered houses, classified as Historic Monuments, which predate the great fire that ravaged the town in 1694. The Bout-du-Quai was formerly a fishermen's district, as shown by the many virgins on the facades of the houses, evidence of a lively popular cult.

All changes, and it is very normal, but of grace, no postcards and images of Épinale. Le Bout-du-Quai it is definitely very well, but it is " today; somewhat " different from what is marked. There is no " traditionnellement" adverb (which, moreover, does not mean much). If you want that there are sailors, pay observers to sit in the four corners of the district with striped t-shirts, a cape and a pipe in the mouth. I also recommend the figure of the corsair or the pirate with its wooden leg and its parrot. I hope Antonio Balidar (and yes, today, it is not Surcouf) me not lily, it could be avenged for the foot of the darkness.
For the historic heritage, I confirm, it is well that. Regarding efforts to develop tourism, I also subscribe. It is certainly a beautiful area, but it really evolved. There are for example two types of Place du Moulin-à-Vent (beautiful, it is true): that of the Mill before and after the Mill.
