Located in the heart of the Seine-Maritime in Normandy, the Parc de Clères is a zoological park founded in 1919 by the ornithologist and naturalist Jean Delacour on an exceptional site.

There is both an English-style botanical park containing rare species, and a castle whose history dates back to the 12th century.

1200 animals live in this animal park, of which nearly a thousand are free. The animal collections are mainly ornithological: different species of cranes, flamingos, ibises, geese, touracos or pheasants are kept there.

Many mammals are also present: Antelopes, wallabies, gibbons, red pandas (new in 2015), tamarins and two species of lemurs (makicattas and hapalemurs of alaotra) .

On the garden side, Henry Avray-Tipping, an English landscape architect from the "Arts and Crafts" movement, created gardens in front of the castle at the request of Jean Delacour. These terraces have been restored since 2012 and feature a wide variety of perennials in pastel shades (peonies, perennial geraniums)

Each year the park of Clères programs specific days and animations intended to transmit, educate and inform the public of the role of zoos and the importance of the conservation of the biodiversity.
