Located around 24 kilometers from Pauillac, Gaillan-en-Médoc has a low population density (only 56 inhabitants/km²), i.e. just 2,334 inhabitants, but it's a very large town. A visit to Gaillan-en-Médoc is a must, not least to discover the 19th-century church of Saint-Pierre. Originally built in the 12th century, this parish church was completely rebuilt in 1844, and its bell tower has been a listed monument since 1846. Its inhabitants are called Gaillanais and Gaillanaises. A very pleasant, peaceful stopover in the Médoc, home to a number of restaurants and bed & breakfasts. Enjoy your visit to Gaillan-en-Médoc!
