Have you guessed the curiosity of this commune? Cubzac-les-Ponts does indeed have three bridges. They cross the Dordogne and link the Entre-deux-Mers to the Cubzaguais. The first, the Eiffel Bridge, was built between 1879 and 1883 by the famous Gustave. It was destroyed during the Second World War and rebuilt by his grandson. 553 meters long, you can admire its beautiful arcades. The second bridge is the railway bridge, a railway bridge completed in 1885. The motorway bridge was completed in 1974 and doubled in 2000. To have a view of these three bridges, take the road to the port. But this is not the only attraction of the commune, as it is situated in the heart of a superb vineyard and is adorned with beautiful blond facades. The church of Saint-Julien-de-Cubzac is interesting from the outside, with its Romanesque remains or its south door, in Baroque style, but also from the inside. It houses the painting of the "Baptism of Christ", dated from the 18th century and classified as a historical monument. The castle of the Four Sons of Aymon is also worth a visit. Cubzac-les-Ponts is a typical village with a rich heritage that is just waiting to be discovered.
