In the heart of the Risle Valley, on a rocky outcrop with a breathtaking panoramic view, the medieval Château de Montfort is listed as a Monument Historique. It will reveal all the secrets of ducal Normandy when Hugues II de Montfort accompanied William the Conqueror in his conquest of England. Strategically located at an altitude of 120 metres, Château de Montfort was built in 1035 by Viscount Hugues I, who died defending William, the future Duke of Normandy. A place full of history, a must-see!

Ce site mediéval propose un beau panorama sur la campagne environnante. Les vestiges du château laissent imaginer son importante quelques siècles auparavant. Sa mise en valeur, déjà initiée par la pose de panneaux explicatifs, continue de nos jurs.
