HERITAGE ROUTE

Welcome to the Risle Valley! Today we propose you a historical walk to discover the natural and built heritage of this small part of Normandy... To start: the tourist office of Montfort, then follow the yellow markings. Punctuated by 7 stages, this 3.2 km long hiking circuit in the form of a loop promises to be well condensed! From the birthplace of the painter René Sautin (18, rue Saint-Pierre), where a commemorative plaque is affixed to the facade, to the Saint-Pierre church and its sundial, as well as the former weaving mill, the washhouse at La Source, the Château la Motte, the birthplace of the painter Albert Lebourg and the medieval castle, these are the treasures that await you... Here and there, beautiful panoramas over the green valley emerge. Each site is materialised by a signage system with a flash code and giving access to a commented audio tour from your smartphone.
