Located about ten kilometres from Bordeaux, the Château Carignan, in AOC First-rib-de-Bordeaux (3 400 hectares spread over 37 communes on the right bank of the Garonne), looks favourably towards the prestigious right bank appellations (saint-émilion and pomerol): it's here the maître Merlot. It thrives on clay-clay soils and gives soft and rounded wines with a very assertive taste of fruit. The area represents an area of 150 hectares.
