Since the Revolution, the former communes, 6 kilometres apart, Cabanac and Villagrains have become one: Cabanac-et-Villagrains. And its inhabitants adopted the nickname of Cabanacais-Villagrains! You will discover: the church Saint-Martin de Cabanac and the church Saint-Jean de Villagrains. The commune is crossed by two rivers: the Gat mort and the Barboue. Do not hesitate to walk along the rivers. An amusing detail: a squirrel appears on the town's coat of arms! Nowadays, Cabanac-et-Villegrains draws its resources mainly from the wood industry and gravel extraction. It has nearly 3,000 inhabitants.
