On the edge of the Garonne, in the heart of the marshland (80% of the commune's surface area), Braud-et-Saint-Louis is a very dynamic village, between sport, gastronomy and nuclear power! Capital of asparagus production, you can admire its fields as far as the eye can see, walk or bike along the hiking trails, take the famous Green Road or Ausonne Road, which runs through the village and connects Bordeaux to Royan. The port of Les Callonges, which was very busy in the 19th century, lost a little speed for a while and has been an active port since 1990.
