The village is situated between 423 and 981 m above sea level. In its centre with its colourful facades, the narrow streets offer beautiful views of the cliffs. Moirans is the capital of the toy country. Inherited from the turning industry, a widespread activity in this sector, the craft industry, then the industry developed, preserving the traditional know-how and adding the plastics industry at the beginning of the 20th century. Today, small turning workshops coexist with emblematic toy manufacturers such as Smoby or Vilac. Every year in July, the Idéklic international children's festival and the Christmas in Toyland animation take place there.
