Read moreJean-Philippe Ballanger has created the Moon Harbour brand, a 100% Bordeaux whisky: the cereals are grown in the region, the copper stills are made by a local craftsman, and the aging barrels come from nearby châteaux (Sauternes or red wine grands crus). The tour takes in the raw materials storage area, the vat room, the stills and a bunker converted into an ageing cellar. The tour ends with a tasting of the whiskies, rum and gin also distilled on site.

Read moreAt Mama Sama, Samantha and Guillaume share their love of rhum arrangé. They explore a variety of flavor combinations based on old-fashioned recipes, updated and sometimes unusual, such as rum with CBD, rum with tonka, bois bandé, vanilla, or rum with cannelé... The rum comes from Martinique, the couple's home island, and is "arranged" in Bordeaux. To accompany their creations, Samantha and Guillaume have created pâté terrines with exotic flavors (coconut, curry, soy sauce, etc.), including one with 3% rum. All their lovely bottles can be found in wine shops and delicatessens, as well as direct from local markets or on the website.
