Located at the corner of rue Saint-Rémi and rue Sainte-Catherine, the Galerie Bordelaise begins and ends on rue de la Maison Daurade, behind the Grand Théâtre. The creation of the passage is due to the initiative of four rich South American merchants who came to live in Bordeaux. Built in 1833, this gallery with acanthus leaves, horns of plenty and red and gold tones rivals the beauty of the Parisian passages. It houses about fifteen shops, some cafés, ice cream parlours and a pharmacy. Superb place.

La galerie bordelaise débouche rue sainte catherine près du grand théâtre. C'est une jolie galerie, mais qui a un peu perdu son âme, qui fait un peu vide par endroits avec peu de commerces encore ouverts. Mais elle reste agréable pour flâner et s'abriter de la pluie ou du soleil.
