Bordeaux distillery producing whiskies, gin and rum distilled on site, and offering tours with tastings.
Producing a 100% Bordeaux whisky in the wine capital of France was a daring move! The distillery took shape in 2017 in a former bunker, when Jean-Philippe Ballanger created the Moon Harbour brand in a nod to the port of the Moon. Today, it produces a range of unique whiskies distilled on a Bordeaux still and matured in Bordeaux barrels from Grands Crus bottled on site. The latest addition is Dock 3, smoked with seaweed from the Arcachon basin and aged in Château La Louvière barrels. A superb gin with incredible aromatics completes the range.

Open all year round. Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm. Visits by appointment on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 11am, 2.30pm and 4pm. Classic tour and tasting: €20; under 25s: €15. Store.
Owner's Message
Today the distillery produces a range of unique whiskies distilled in a Bordeaux still and matured in Bordeaux barrels from great growths. Our favorite, the latest DOCK 3 smoked with seaweed from the Arcachon basin, is matured in barrels from Château Pipeau. A superb gin, with incredible aromatics and distilled on site, completes the range.
