Basque cuisine in a restaurant in Bordeaux offering tapas, salad landaise or Basque tartare.
Le Txistu puts the Basque cuisine in the spotlight on the quays of Bordeaux. Sit on the terrace of this pretty restaurant to admire the view of the Garonne. There's an air of holiday here and there's no shortage of tourists. This place is often taken by storm, because of its low prices, its simple and gourmet cuisine and its unbeatable location. À la carte, you will find some must-sees (salade landaise, Basque tartare, tuna steak grilled a la plancha...), as well as tapas. Let yourself be tempted by these little Spanish bites for aperitif time! The choice is wide: txistorra (Basque charcuteries), garlic shrimps, chorizo croquettes, Spanish style squid, caramelized ribs... Everything is there to make you have a good time!

Open all year. Tuesday to Sunday from 12pm to 2.30pm and from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Children's menu: €10. Daily special: €9.50 (fixed rate formula starter, main course: €12.50). Heated and covered terrace.

Accueil chaleureux comme les portions dans l'assiette.
Vivement que j'y retourne.
Par ces chaudes journées de juin nous avons choisi de diner dans ce restaurant Basque , sa terrasse donnant sur le fleuve nous a séduite.
Bien sûr les classiques de la cuisine basque, dont l'Axoa de veau pas mal si l'on aime cette préparation , à l'ardoise du jour nous avons choisi l'Espadon grillé, cuisson parfaite, sauce vierge, accompagnement sans recherche un peu de roquette et des pommes de terre bouillies..... service souriant mais un peu amateur en particulier dans l'ouverture de la bouteille de cidre.
Nous avons passé un bon moment .
Les plats typiques basques de la carte sont copieux et bons.
