For 8 generations, this family of winemakers has passionately preserved this 33-hectare estate, which has been organically farmed since 2011. Their red, white and clairet wines, made with a skilful blend of modern techniques and traditional methods, are a delight for connoisseurs. Oenologists' opinions. Château Haut-Colombier, Blaye contrôlée, 2006: Dark ruby color. Open, evolved nose with notes of licorice, blackcurrant, cinnamon, cooked fruit, plum and spicy oak. Ample on the palate, melted, coated tannins, fine structure, notes of black cherry and stone.
Château Haut-Colombier 2010, Grand vin de Bordeaux, Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux: dark garnet-red color. Complex nose of raspberry, blackberry and cocoa powder. Rich, full-bodied palate, with enveloping tannins.
