La Motte, which is called the hill above Vesoul and the Vallée valley. 40 minutes walk from the historic centre of the city, 20 minutes from the parking lot. Panorama at 360 ° once on heights (378 metres altitude). To the west, the plateau de Langres, to the south Jura, to the east the Vosges. A beautiful chapel built in 1857 is dedicated to the Virgin Mary whose statue is 3,50 metres high. Since the cholera epidemic of 1854, it has protected the Vésuliens. Two access is possible to climb up: you can start from Rue Saint-Martin and Rue des Lucottes or, opposite, from Rue du Marteroy. A beautiful walk!
