The prefecture of Haute-Saône, immortalized by Jacques Brel but unjustly ignored! It's well worth a visit. Vesoul is ideally situated for exploring the department. Its rich history is linked to that of Franche-Comté. In 1678, Vesoul became part of France, benefiting from the region's prosperity. In the 20th century, major factories were established, including the PSA automotive group. Discover the old town, with the church of Saint-Georges and the Palais de Justice, as well as beautiful town houses (15th-16th and 18th centuries). For leisure activities, head for the Lac de Vaivre, but also take a look at the rich cultural life.
