Overlooking the Isle valley, opposite Coutras, Abzac has an important architectural heritage, such as its castle which was built around 1665 in place of an old fortified castle. At its foot is the Abzac mill, an imposing factory built around 1770 to supply flour to the great Bordeaux transatlantic trade. It became an oil mill in the 19th century, then a power station, and is now the parent factory and headquarters of a cardboard factory. The castle (open to visitors) and the mill were classified as historical monuments in 2013. Finally, there is the former presbytery (18th century) which now houses the town hall and overlooks the valley
