Leaving Limeuil, you must stop on the hill to enjoy the wonderful view of the confluence of the Vézère and the Dordogne, and further on the cingle of Trémolat whose graceful loops wind around the fertile land and tickle the cliffs. This fortified village no longer bears many traces of its ramparts, but there are still fortified houses and a 12th century fortress church with blind walls and loopholes, defensive chambers and three domes with sculpted capitals. One also comes for the gastronomy with a local institution, the famous Vieux logis and its emanations. A real treat!
