At the confluence of the Doubs and Dessoubre rivers, in a green setting, the town is proud of its glorious past. Its narrow streets are lined with old houses with inner courtyards. Mullioned windows, turrets and stone staircases, fully renovated since 2006, are reminders of medieval times. Take a look at the 14th-century Notre-Dame church and the 17th-century fountain. The village, home of Jacques Courtois (1621-1676), a painter renowned for his depictions of battles, is a pleasant place to stop. The 18th-century Ursuline convent, the washhouse and the Grottes de la Roche site promise a wealth of discoveries!
