Renowned above all for its vineyards, Patrimonio has a very long history. Already in ancient times, its wines were highly prized. This is where the famous U Nativu statue-menhir, found in Barbaggio, is displayed. It can be seen in the amphitheatre, which hosts the Patrimonio guitar festival every summer, featuring the biggest names in jazz, blues and rock. The village is made up of 11 hamlets surrounded by vineyards, all of which have retained their authenticity. They dominate Cape Town's western coastline, and offer beautiful sea views. A hike to the summit of Serra di Pigno offers a view of both sides of the Cape.
