Known since prehistoric times, the site has a cave at Missoivet, as well as some remains at Campo-Console. Oletta still bears the traces of its rich past, due to the exploitation of the silver mines that can still be seen in the surroundings, and has kept its authentic character, with its houses with high façades overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Florent. In the village, the church of Saint-André was built in the 18th century, and its beautiful baroque architecture earned it a place on the list of Historic Monuments. In the surroundings, you can observe many chapels, some of which are integrated into the houses, like the rare vestiges of the old church.
