Corsica is best discovered by sea and the beauty of its unique landscapes in the Mediterranean. Its coasts offer an extraordinary diversity of sites: small typical marinas, deserted coves, lively marinas, cliffs, calanques and huge sandy beaches that follow all the coastline. Always crystalline, water invites you to taste the pleasures of the sea, while sumptuous scenery invites you to explore the treasures of the land.

The Delights of the Coupling

One can start its circuit by the Gulf of Saint Florent and the small namesake town which, with its narrow narrow streets around the church, has lost nothing of its picturesque. The proud geese dominate the city and the ancient cathedral of Nebbio presents a beautiful example of medieval architecture. The village is full of good tables, and the atmosphere on the docks up to the alleys is always a good child. To the south of Saint Florent, the Agriate site with the beaches of Saleccia, Loto, Fornali and Mortella offers idyllic anchors. Choose to anchor the anchor, and browse the famous heritage vineyards that produce among the best wines of Corsica. By continuing south, we will pass along the Ostriconi site and its wild lagoon with a stopover at Malfalco and Ghignu beach.

We quickly reach Île-Rousse, the Paoline city seems to have escaped time: its old town, cobbled streets, fishing port, fortifications and old houses of a beautiful Florentine style form a magical decor. Animated throughout the year, it is a pleasure to stroll on its large square where Pascal Paoli's bust is held, under the covered market supported by 21 columns and on terraces in the shadow of the plane. In the south of the city, the beach of Bodri delivers, in fine weather, a sea of exceptional transparency that detaches itself on an immaculate sand.

We have arrived at Calvi: the homeland of Christopher Columbus, the capital of Balagne, but also and above all: pearl of the north. The large and beautiful sponge citadel, built on a promontory, dominates the harbor, and the view over the bay from the ramparts is magnificent. There are beautiful monuments: Saint-Antoine Oratory, La Poudrière, Sampierro Barracks and Columbus House. For who is looking for bathing and soothing, we advise the Anse de la Revellata, less vibrant than the great beach of the Pinède.

Scandola, volcanic

Further south, we will find two beautiful anchors in Nichiaretto and Crovani, before reaching the port of Galeria. In the hinterland, the Fango River Valley and its natural pools will allow refreshing swimming before entering the Scandola nature reserve. Prepare your binoculars by going to Cala Muretta to observe Alpana, the eagle, which will announce your arrival at the port of Girolata. We reach the Gulf of Porto and its small harbor located in the estuary of the river. Nearby is the village of Piana. In the heart of the village is the parish church dedicated to the Assumption of late Baroque style. It houses the statue of the Virgin of L 'Assomption, a mansion of the eighteenth century, classified at historical monuments. But Piana is famous for its calanques, true natural sculptures of rock torn with strange shapes, whose glowing color plays with the rays of the sun. This majestic site is classified worldwide by UNESCO. In the distance, the peninsula of Senino and Scandola is divided. The site is protected and its natural species preserved. Piana retains all its charm of yesteryear and, above all, we must not miss the sunset. It is at these moments that the calanques take their most beautiful colors. After the passage to Capu Rossu, you will wet in Palu or Arone for its beautiful fine sand beach and good restaurants.

We keep heading south to join Cargese, who deserves the stopover to regain strength. We then cross the Gulf of Sagone and the great beach of La Liscia before reaching Lava, made famous thanks to its gold coins ↓! Entry into the Gulf of Ajaccio begins with the passage to the Sanguinaires Islands and their three islands. Next to the anchorage of Ariadne and its beach, you will see the great modern city, the capital of the south, and imperial city. The port is sheltered at all times. The city will visit the Fesch Museum, the Bonaparte house, the cathedral and the church of Saint-Erasme, patron saint of the fishermen.

The beautiful Gulf of Valinco

At the southern tip of the Gulf, Capo di Muru and its beautiful restored sponge tower open the door of the Gulf of Valinco. Stop in Propriano ╩ next to its harbor with beautiful glacier terraces, shops, theater and leisure facilities.

Campomoro's anchorage will not be missed before going to the sumptuous coves of Agulia, Conca and Arana, where you will be alone in the world even in August. We then come to the Sartene Sea and the charming fishing port of Tizzano, paradise of divers but also famous for its ancestral sites of Pallagiu and Cauria. By continuing, we go to the Argent Beach bordered by a perfumed scrub, in the Gulf of Murtoli, then at the Roccapina anchorage dominated by its lion and the remains of a tower facing the island of Moines. The beach is pretty but often overcrowded, so we prefer Chevanu's anse, at the beginning of the nature reserve of Bonifacio's mouths.

Take advantage of Pianottoli-Caldarello, the last step before the extreme south and its agitation. At the bottom of the bay, the small harbor is charming and the wild coast deserves to linger.

From the White Lady to the Lavezzi

The entrance to Bonifacio's gully leaves no one insensitive. His cliffs suddenly disappear to give room for a surprising city. This city, built on imposing limestone cliffs, is of stunning beauty. Prepared at the limit of the rock, it defies the anger of the sea which, on storm days, whipped its pedestal. All season, the atmosphere exalted the docks of the port that welcome the tourist cohorts aboard the walking stars. We will take the time to appreciate the many monuments such as the Romanesque church Santa Maria or San Dumeniciu the Gothic, but the most pleasant is to stroll through the alleys and settle on the terrace of one of many restaurants to taste fish. We leave the port with regret to go to the Lavezzi Islands, theater of the largest shipwreck in the Mediterranean: that of Sémillante. This is a reference spot for the many divers who come to visit Mérou-Ville. Before preparing the climb to the east coast…
