Very charming village with its pretty white facades and two churches facing each other in a grandiose environment overlooking the sea. The ruins of the church of San Giovanni are nearby. Mérimée, in charge of cataloguing the monuments of Corsica, had noticed the sculpture of an arm, with open fingers, on the north wall of the nave of the church. This element would be the vestiges of the court of justice that once sat in the church. Its history was marked by the installation of a Greek colony in the 17th century. Of these influences, the village keeps two religious testimonies: a church with the Latin rite, the other with the Byzantine rite
