On the heights of the canton, the apple plantations of Essendieras deploy over 200 hectares of nets to preserve flowers, but also to protect trees and hail apples. They were created at André: in 1963. The domain was then managed by businessman Sylvain Floirat from Nailhac. At the harvest season, 15 000 tonnes are stored there.
