LE PEIGNE EN CORNE-THOMAS LIORAC
This company is the story of love at first sight; that of a couple, Marguerite and Grégoire, freshly landed in Ariège, for an ancestral know-how of the territory: the manufacture of horn comb. Marguerite immediately compiled the documents on the subject and multiplied the essays to train herself in the production of this exceptional accessory. She gets her raw materials from extensive livestock farms, and puts her heart into the work in the small workshop that the couple has set up in Laroque-D'olmes. Each horn, depending on its size, gives three to five combs after about fifteen essentially manual steps. The products, which are distinguished by their artisanal quality and their antistatic and smoothing properties, are on sale on the website, alongside the company's other specialities: wooden brushes and natural bristles and other horn objects (jewellery, hair accessories, tableware).
