The entrance to the village is guarded by the Manoir de la Salle and its keep. The castle of Clérans is revealed in the village and dominates the river with its towers. The jewel of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère is its superb 12th century Romanesque church with its blonde stone walls and its roof of lauze. In the cemetery, an inscription in Occitan on the pediment of an expiatory chapel, which recalls the village legend: a servant having sent an arrow on the crucifix of the church fell dead, the head "behind in front"... At the end of the 19th century, archaeologists were surprised to find a skeleton with its head turned upside down while excavating his grave...
