A town with a population of 1,700, 8 kilometers west of Reims, it was here that Formula 1 and other racing cars competed for many years, before the circuit that ran through the town, which had been built in 1926, was closed for good in 1972. Part of the pits and track can still be seen on the D27, and events are organized from time to time under the aegis of the Association Les Amis du Circuit de Gueux. It's a moment of euphoria for any self-respecting biker to pass in front of the still-standing grandstands. The Château des Dames de France once played host to the future kings of France.
