Built by Jean I de Dormans in the 14th century, the castle of Dormans has been the domain of illustrious people such as Cardinal Jean II, the Grand Condé or the Marshal de Broglie. Today owned by the city of Dormans, this magnificent building cannot be visited, but you can still admire its architecture by visiting the Memorial of the Battles of the Marne, walking in its beautiful wooded park of 25 hectares and crisscrossing the paths of its garden between its fishing ponds, its rivers, its cascades and its Japanese bridges.

THE MILL FROM ABOVE

In the heart of a beautiful wooded park of 25 hectares, the old mill of the Château d'en Haut houses one of the largest indoor water wheels in France with its 8 meters diameter. The buildings dating from the 17th and 18th centuries have been entirely restored and now house a museum on the first floor. You will discover the life of the Champagne region in the last century through a collection of old tools exposed in thematic rooms: the workshop, the cellar, the bakery and the mobile still...
