At the gates of Epernay, following the direction of Reims, you can reach Dizy, whose history was intimately linked to that of the abbey of Marne, which the village was given in 658 by the Archbishop of Reims. Until 1775, Dizy has only 75 houses, approximately 200 inhabitants. Under the first Empire, Napoleon stayed at the relay of «Madness». It was on the eve of the battle of Champaubert. A place that also saw Voltaire and Catherine de Médicis. It seems that at the location of the present church, a Roman temple existed.
