Saint-Jean Church is the oldest Édifice-en-Champagne building. Originally built in chalk on a simple Latin cross, it preserved its Romanesque nave dating back to the end of the th century. Successive changes have made its form more complex and more original, and in spite of some Gothic loans, it can read the evolution of the th century Romanesque art in the Renaissance. Damaged by the Revolution Wars and the Empire, it was restored with new windows in the second half of the th century.
