Ergersheim is a charming wine-growing town and the ideal starting point for a walk along the Bruche canal. This canal was designed by Vauban (Louis XIV's architect) to supply the fortifications of Strasbourg with stones. The old towpath has been converted into a bicycle route accessible to all levels and is also part of the route to Santiago de Compostela. Another point of interest is the church Notre-Dame d'Altbronn, built on the site of a former village. As for the Saint-Michel chapel, in the direction of Ernolsheim-sur-Bruche, it is the last vestige of the Rimlenheim village, which is now completely destroyed.
