Saint-Aulaye, Santa Eulalia in Occitan, is the only bastide in the Périgord Vert and Val de Dronne. It is located on the road to Santiago de Compostela. The bastide was erected in 1288 by Lord Pierre de Brémont. Its discovery circuit is part of the "10 most beautiful trails of the Périgord" since 2020. Let yourself be led by Sire Renard (an emblematic animal that rests on one of the chimneys of the castle) through the cobbled streets, its 12th century Romanesque church, its bridge and its ramparts. The town of Saint-Aulaye is also classified "Petite Cité de Caractère".
