CONSERVATOIRE NATIONAL MARCEL-LANDOWSKI
The National Conservatory Marcel Landowski is a residence for more than 1 000 students in premises close to 6 000 m 2. More than fifty graduate and demanding teachers, sometimes a bit rival, teach their knowledge to students. Musical studies, theatre, trekking, music and cinema, university studies of musicology, study of classical, contemporary repertoire, jazz, new technology of computer-assisted composition… the conservatory multiplies the skills. A library and a multimedia study disco are available to members. To be able to integrate this high place of culture, a minimum age is required for each of the disciplines: 6 years for music, 7 years for dance and 11 years for theatre. The Conservatory receives a diverse audience: young students, great amateurs, future professionals. Jazz, African percussion, including Jacob Diboum, or improvised music are recorded in the curriculum. The ensemble feeds the season of concerts around Troyes and chamber music recitals, in collaboration with the Troyes and the Société du Conservatoire.
