Folk dance

Young Champagne is an association of adults and children who dance regional folklore. Performances in costumes of Troyes, dating from the 1850 s and in place for soyottes, swing, quadrilles, jig, where you must lift the very high leg, or the corporate dance of gardeners. Rehearsals take place at home every Wednesday from 19 am to 21 pm. It takes at least 13 years to register. BALADE PEDESTRE AUTOUR DU VAL BRETON

Hiking

At the beginning of Breeding-sur-Artaut, this short hike takes you through vineyards, forests and plateaus to discover the historical and natural heritage of the town and its surroundings. The church, astonishing by its two naves, is part of the village's enlarge, as well as the wrought iron parapet and the lavoir at the long stone bazaar; it is continuously fed by the source of the Artaut. The course also reserves one of the most beautiful panoramas in the department, and it falls well: The lookout has a few tables and benches to take full advantage of it!

Randonnée dans la forêt du Temple

Hiking

Go to La Loge-aux-Chèvres for this walking tour in the heart of the Temple forest. To go to the parking lot, starting point of your journey, go back to the Temple Street to its junction with the D 79. Turn left then commit yourself immediately to the forest path on the right; you can park approximately 2 kilometres further. Enough roulé, place at walking! In this 10 000-hectare forest, your transgressions will play the metronome on the songs of the chickadees, roitelets and other wild animals you may see if you are discreet… but why do we call this forest the "Temple Forest"? Just in reference to the Templar, who settled in the region in 1225, and who made one of their commands in the forest.

LE LAC D'ORIENT

The lake of the Orient Forest has been the playground of most of the Trojans. An undeniable asset for Troyes, it is located about 25 minutes away and city dwellers don't have to travel far to enjoy this 2,500-hectare natural setting, which offers dykes, beaches and windsurfing. From March to November, this lake (the largest and oldest of the three lakes on the site), nestled in the heart of the beautiful Orient Forest, is transformed into a real place of life dedicated to swimming and water sports. You will also discover a luxuriant fauna.

LA FACOTERIE

Pottery Ceramics

The website of this pottery workshop, 100% local and handmade as it claims, is just as playful as its inhabitants. The workshop creates traditional stoneware and porcelain pottery, but also has fun creating stars, animals and flowers. Here, it's a colorful circus, with small pieces that awaken interiors. You can take part in the workshop, or register your children for other workshops. We work with clay for an hour and a half, for around €25: your little one leaves with his work, while we pamper him and offer him a snack! Get ideas....
