The village, founded in the Middle Ages, is dominated by the keep of the old castle built in the 12th century by the bishops of Périgueux, lords of the place. Transformed into a bell tower in the 17th century, it still holds a bell cast on the spot. Just like the castle of the bishops, which later became the presbytery, the Romanesque church, which is linked to it by a superb wooden gallery, was redesigned in the 15th and 17th centuries. Inside, there is a very moving 17th century pietà, a Way of the Cross from the Italian school and a 17th century tabernacle made of walnut. Outside, we pass in front of the remains of a 13th century burial place and traces of frescoes.
