Petit Futé's opinion on LOGE MACONNIQUE

Vintage plate 2020

The Masonic lodge of Périgueux is remarkable for its symbolic tools sculpted on its facade. Erased by the Vichy regime in 1940, they were only reinstalled in 1987. In addition to the triangles, squares, compasses, swords, scales, rosettes, etc., the orientalist style of the moucharabieh-like openings and the claustras that form five-pointed stars catches the eye. Among his brothers are the writer Eugène Le Roy and Antoine de Tounens, the famous king of Araucania. Accessible during Heritage Days.
