Very close to Blois, the town of Vineuil is a good starting point for a walk on the royal road of castles, the same one that will lead you to Chambord. Vineuil lends itself to a few strolls in its midst, before you set off. There are circuits to discover the small heritage of this town, such as old houses, the house of the bell (former chapel dating from the 16th century) or the viaduct and its 23 arches. You can also follow the course of the Cosson, a small tributary river of the Beuvron which itself joins the Loire shortly afterwards. A downloadable map can be found on the town hall's website.
