In Thoré-la-Rochette, you can see the Château de Rochambeau, an 18th century residence which was the birthplace of Marshal Rochambeau. The latter fought in the American War of Independence and took part in the victory of Yorktown on October 19, 1781. In the church of Saint-Denis, built in the 19th century on the remains of a primitive church of the 11th century, you can admire a classified fresco dating from the 14th century. Thoré-la-Rochette is the departure station for the tourist train of the Loir valley, which allows you to discover the valley as far as Troo by taking a trip back in time, transported by a real railcar from the 1950s.
