It is a small village, but not a small village. Neung-sur-Beuvron was in the Gallo-Roman era, the theatre of a great battle in 52 before Jesus Christ, the memories of Julius Caesar by mentioning the Village by his Latin name: Noviodunum Biturigum. Since then, the time has passed, just as we say, Joan of Arc, in Neung-sur-Beuvron, just after fighting in Orléans on June 7, 1429. The church of Saint Denis marked the event with a commemorative plaque. Like many places of habitation in the Loire, being on a river or near ponds, Neung-sur-Beuvron allows beautiful fishing parties.
