A small village in the heart of the Loire Valley, 8 km from Chaumont, Monteaux is mainly for its magnificent th century castle, which also contains a beautiful renovated chapel, a wooded park and a mill. If the latter are open to the visit, that of the interior of the castle is unfortunately! not allowed. Like any corner of Loire, Monteaux is suitable for bicycle tours and wine cellars visits to taste, with moderation, the region's wines.
