The small town of Mer has a beautiful heritage: 3 churches, including that of Saint-Aignan listed as a Historic Monument, 1 chapel, 1 Protestant temple and the castle of Chantecaille dating from the 15th century. Mer is also crossed by the Tronne river which gives to see on its way pretty mills and wash houses which constitute a picturesque landscape. Economically dynamic (a logistics platform has been set up in a recent industrial zone), Mer is also a place for meetings throughout the year (reptile fair, toy fair, Loire wine fair and watchmaking fair at the end of March for lovers of old clocks).
