Shelters located at the foot of a fascinating cliff of Eyzies-de-Tayac, one of the first shelters excavated in the world in 1864.
Laugerie Basse is one of the first shelters excavated in the world in 1864, at the time when the word "prehistory" appeared in dictionaries! Its two shelters at the foot of a fascinating 60-metre-high cliff have yielded the largest quantity of movable art objects in one place! It is also in Laugerie Basse that the very first prehistoric Venus in the world was found! It was a bit like the "Place Vendôme" of 15,000 years ago...
The visit is free, with the help of booklets, a tablet and 3D projection. Unesco listed site in the heart of the 20th Grand Site de France!

Very interesting visit with a very pleasant guide. Many explanations. The visit is worth
Very interesting visit. The crystals are magnificent, limestone stalagmites are well put in relief by the lighting effects. Visit unmissable with a guide know to captivate its audience
