Located 12 kilometers from Romorantin, the main attraction of the small village of Gy-en-Sologne is a 16th century house that recreates the home of our ancestors: the Locature de la Straize. It can be visited freely on weekends from April to September, but remember to give advance notice of your visit (more information is available at https://lastraize.pagesperso-orange.fr). According to legend, Gy-en-Sologne was built on a spring discovered by a herdsman who wanted to quench his animals. For the gourmets, the commune is in the area of the AOP of a famous cheese: the selles-sur-cher.
