Go to Couture-sur-Loir to see "if the rose had declined"... How did you know? Didn't you know that? However, this small village is far from being insignificant because it was the cradle of Pierre de Ronsard to whom we owe one of the most beautiful poems of our French language dedicated to his neighbour Casandre. He also gave his name, without knowing it, to the most delicate and fragrant rose, the famous Pierre de Ronsard rose, which is the delight of gardeners... It is therefore essential to make a long detour to the Manoir de la Possonnière and to go and meet the poet who was unfortunate in love in order to "pick the roses of life today"... Carpe Diem !
