The second most visited natural cave in France, and the first underground site to be awarded the NF environnement - sites de visite label, Proumeyssac is a natural curiosity sculpted by runoff over 15 million years. Located in the commune of Audrix, the Gouffre de Proumeyssac is a natural site well worth a visit. Dubbed the "Crystal Cathedral", this impressive natural space was discovered in 1907 and is 50 metres deep. Considered to be the largest developed cavity in the Périgord, it is adorned with stalactites and stalagmites. State-of-the-art lighting and musical ambience add even more charm to this underground masterpiece. A visit, guided by experts, is sure to leave a lasting impression.
