This small town on the plain is home to the last meander of the Vézère river. Situated equidistant from Sarlat, Bergerac and Périgueux, it's a crossroads teeming with activities and visits (decorated cave, aquarium...). Despite its 19th-century appearance, Le Bugue was born nine centuries earlier with the establishment of the first female abbey in Périgord! A discreet town, Le Bugue is very lively all year round. Explore it on Tuesdays, market day for the past 700 years, where the atmosphere and smells are on the menu, thanks to the local producers. And don't forget the market hall opposite the Tourist Office!
