Candé-sur-Beuvron can be proud of its pretty village, but especially of one of its castles, the Domaine de Candé, built in 1503 by the Great Argentier of Louis XII and incidentally mayor of Tours. The castle of Madon, meanwhile, is now a private property that once hosted King Louis XII. You can also stroll along the water and come across the Old Bridge which drains the waters of the Cosson which flows into the Beuvron, itself flowing into the Loire. Blooming with geraniums on sunny days, it leads to the centre of this village, which is popular with cycling tourists, as it is part of the stages of the Loire by bike and the Compostela route
