A place for meetings and exchanges around a single passion in Blois: the plant world.
Right in the heart of the town of Blais, in the middle of the Parc de l'Arrou, this former farmhouse has been given a new lease of life, and now offers young and old alike a place to meet and share their passion for plants! Here, you can get back in touch with Mother Nature. You'll learn how to plant, grow and take cuttings to the rhythm of the seasons, through a wide range of activities including temporary exhibitions, lectures and workshops. In the highly educational vegetable garden, you can learn all about aromatic plants, some with medicinal properties, as well as forgotten vegetables such as parsnips, crosnes and rutabagas... A wide range of activities will introduce you to both wild plant basketry using the "paillassou" technique and the more traditional technique of wickerwork. If you prefer, you can make music with these same plants or learn to cook them according to the season. The Maison du Parc also offers birthday parties for toddlers (booking required, minimum 10 children). A highly educational and relaxing place, a great way to learn while having fun!
